Maryland can be an amazing state to explore and live in while attending school. This going along with the amazing schools in the state such as the nationally renowned Lincoln Tech, students will surely get the most of their educational experience. These schools are extremely good at balancing the classroom lecture with hands-on learning. While Lincoln Tech will have it’s own auto shops, some of the smaller schools will do a great job at getting its students connected with local auto professionals for internships and apprenticeships in their auto shops for great hands-on experience outside of what they can do in the classroom.
One of the best parts about Maryland is its close proximity to many other great places which is why its cost of living is so high. This is leveled out by the state having a much higher average salary than the national average so auto mechanics will be able to make a good living off of their trade. This is especially true with more degrees or certificates as employers are almost always looking to pay a higher salary to an employee who has more training or experience. Along with that, the projected job growth in the state is higher than the national average which shows that auto mechanics should not ever be without work in the foreseeable future which is worth the higher cost of living.
